
Chewy Salted Almond Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
3 Cups AP Flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sea salt
2 sticks room temperature salted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup brown sugar lightly packed
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 large eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
Flakey sea salt
Directions
- pre-heat oven to 350
- Beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add vanilla, almond extract, and eggs.
- Add flour, baking soda, and 1 tsp fine sea salt. Mix to combine completely. Mix in chocolate chips.
- Place large scoops of the cookie dough (I used about 1/4-1/3 cup but you can make them smaller. If you make them smaller adjust cook time so that they are not over baked). Bake 11-15 minutes or until the edges just start to turn golden.
- Remove pan from oven and immediately sprinkle with flakey sea salt, gently pat the salt in so that it sticks.
- Let cool on the pan for 5ish minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
